Drawn Arc, DA stud welding is a method of fixing a metal fastening element onto a work piece. Generally the fastening element is in the form of a stud although this is not always necessary.

A weld takes place by generating a pilot arc to melt the weld end of the fastening.
A molten pool of metal is formed into which the stud is pressed.
A ceramic ferrule contains the molten metal to shape the weld fillet.
The consistency of welds is excellent.
Drawn Arc is the only method of stud welding large diameters.
Studs can be welded through parent material imperfections such as light rust, scale and grease.
Very slow penetrative welds are achieved with this process making it ideal for heavy duty applications.
Our new ARC 2000 range of equipment is suitable for any heavy duty application.
They have a robust easily portable construction making them ideal for use in the factory and on site.

All equipment in the ARC 2000 range have the additional advantage of having the short cycle facility fitted as standard and all are available as one or two hand tool models.

This is a ring lift hand tool and is supplied fully damped for better weld control

Weld cable is externally connected for better heat dissipation
Normally supplied with 90mm cable and above.
